Innovate, Adapt & Prepare to Fail Forward”
— Fred Clements, Former Executive Director of National Bicycle Dealers Association

Established in 2012 as a bicycle store catering to students and the surrounding area, Kayuh Bicycles & Cafe is a community oriented business that strives towards progression through strong partnerships and exceptional work ethic. We are proud to be based in the heart of North Philadelphia, where great changes lie ahead.

Inspired by former National Bicycle Dealers Association's remarks on how the number of independent bicycle dealers (IBDs) have declined in recent years, it is imperative to position oneself as not only a bicycle shop retailer but also a community hub embracing knowledge sharing and joint activities among others. At Kayuh, we offer free repair clinics, group rides, speaker series and open mics.

Throughout the years, we have garnered numerous awards such as Temple University's Be Your Own Boss Bowl (BYOBB), Scholar for Goldman Sachs and Babson College's 10,000 Small Business Program (Cohort 12), Impact PHL's "Best for PHL". We have also partnered with organizations such as Temple University, YMCA, Youthbuild Charter School, Philadelphia School District, Project HOME, Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia, Philadelphia University, Benjamin Franklin Museum, BMX Life Program, 1000Strong, One Day At A Time (ODAAT), Philly Mural Arts Program, French Creek Racing, Bicycle Club of Philadelphia (BCP), Gearing Up, Neighborhood Bike Works, Greenstreet Coffee, Inspired Brews, Motzi Bakery, Bean2Bean Coffee Roasters, Philly Bike Expo, Fairmount Bicycles, Quality Bicycle Products (QBP), JBI Bike and more.

Our Credo: challenging the status quo and consistently push our boundaries to go further in what we do and offer. Our top priority is to maintain the quality and consistency of our service offering.
